Technical/Upgrading Activities

During October 1996, representatives from the Beloyarsk nuclear plant, the Russian RBMK nuclear power plants, the Smolensk Training Center, and the Scientific Research Institute of Atomic Reactors received an overview of the training course, Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) in Moscow. The course was developed and presented by a team from Sonalysts, Inc., and the Balakovo nuclear power plant. Some of the participants in the training program will travel to the United States for more advanced training in SAT and instructor skills, when they also will begin development of training programs for their plants.
